Buurabalayji Thalanyji Aboriginal Corporation

Buurabalayji Thalanyji Aboriginal Corporation is the governing body protecting the interests of the Thalanyji People and their Native Title Determination. The design for this website needed to make a bold visual statement whilst also giving respect to the land and the communities supported by it. This has been done through powerful photography combined with organic lines echoing the shape of the Thalanyji coastline. Simple parallax effects have been used to add movement and reveal each section as the page is scrolled. A video header brings movement and features a particular tree important to the local community. Tones of red and blue are used throughout the website to bring through the brand colours and echo the photography of the land. Clean typography with strong, bold headings break up text for a comfortable reading experience.
